About Old Lanwarnick
At Old Lanwarnick you can immerse yourself in the beauty of Cornwall. Discover the joy of muddy woodland walks. Indulge in long lazy days at the beach. Get lost in our 34 acres of unspoiled countryside full of wildlife. Then return to your cosy cottage to fire up the BBQ or light the wood burner before ending the day in the hot tub looking up at the stars.
About this experience
We begin with a friendly introduction to our alpacas, along with a short demonstration on how to handle them safely. The trek then takes place across the beautiful Old Lanwarnick grounds. You’ll be guided along peaceful woodland paths and out into one of our scenic fields — the perfect place to pause, take photos, and enjoy the stunning countryside views. After the trek, you’ll have time to meet some of the other animals on the farm, including our cheeky pygmy goats, our rescue ducks and chickens, and maybe even some alpaca babies!

The whole experience lasts around 2 hours, including an introduction to the alpacas and time with our other animals afterwards. The trek itself usually lasts around 60 minutes – although sometimes the alpacas decide otherwise! Treks cost **£25 per person**, with one alpaca each, or **£35 for two people sharing one alpaca**. Children of all ages are very welcome. Children under 12 must share an alpaca with an adult. We recommend wearing sturdy footwear, as the terrain can be uneven and muddy in places. Treks are available all year round, so please dress appropriately for the wonderful Cornish weather! Unfortunately, dogs cannot join us on the trek, with the exception of assistance dogs.
